For those interested in keeping tabs on the Bend City Planning Commission's UGB workshops, the schedule is attached below. There are seven of them and each has a particular topic starting with Statutory Priorities, Urban Area Reserve, and Special Districts on Monday, September 17th at 5:30pm at the Deschutes County Building, 1300 NW Wall Street. The others are as of yet still unscheduled, but you can usually find the Planning Commission's upcoming agenda posted online here or by visiting the City's home page on navigating to their calendar of events down at the bottom of the right hand column.
The next formal hearing on the expansion will be on January 24th which will be a joint city-county meeting. Until then, the City Planning Commission has taken the reigns, although the County Planning Commission has assigned three liaisons to attend and participate in the meetings. Although the upcoming sessions are worksessions rather than hearings, the written record for the process remains open and members of the public are free to submit testimony to the planning commissions and can do so by e-mailing the City Commissioners here and the County Commissioners here.
Happy Hunting.
