Deschutes County – National Forest Timber For Sale (noticed 6/15/08)

Description: Due to recent amendments to the proposal, the Board of County Commissioners has continued the public hearing regarding Applicant's requested amendments to the County Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code to create a set of regulations for a new Town Center district in Sunriver. These regulations would describe what uses would be allowed in the Town Center as well as the development limitations, such as setbacks. Copies of the proposal and the record to date can be viewed at www.deschutes.org/cdd under the pending code amendment page. The Planning Commission will not be taking another vote, but the Planning Commission members will be advising the Board. At this hearing, testimony will only be taken on the amendments to Applicant's proposal.

Oregon Dept. of State Lands – Discussion of the South Redmond Tract (noticed 5/28/08)

Description: A public hearing will be held to discuss the revised Draft Land Use and Management Plan for the South Redmond Tract, a 945-acre tract south of the Deschutes County Fairgrounds and south and east of the Juniper Golf Course. The tract borders the Redmond city limits and UGB. As an asset of the Common School Fund, the tract offers a significant investment opportunity to produce revenue for the Fund. The results of the public hearing will be used to help finalize the Plan and to determine compatibility with the Redmond and Deschutes County comprehensive land use plans.
