2017 Earth Day Fair & Parade

Visit Central Oregon LandWatch's booth at The Environmental Center's fun and festive celebration of the natural world! Come play "Who Wants to be a Merch-Millionaire" where you can answer fun LandWatch-related trivia questions and win great prizes.

The day kicks off with a colorful, creative parade of children and adults costumed as their favorite plant or animal. This year, we'll be revealing two very special "Earth Guardian" costumes! Join the fun and get ready for the parade by creating your own costume. (More info on our website.)

11:00 am: Assemble on Louisiana Avenue next to McMenamin’s in your best nature-themed costume.

11:30am: Parade starts through downtown Bend. B Side Brass Band will lead the way!

Following the parade, there will be live music from UBUNTU, local green businesses, food from Dump City DumplingsBarrio Bend and The Pizza Cart, and great hands-on activities for all ages. (The Kid's Zone on Troy Field features a bike rodeo with Bend Endurance Academy and an obstacle course with Camp Fire Central Oregon.)

This year, we'll even have an electric vehicle Ride & Drive happening in the parking lot next to Troy Field. Come test drive an EV!

Swing by our Learning Garden to plant a sunflower seed and check out the new Little Free Library. And, we'll be screen-printing Earth Day shirts at our booth!

*Come meet the Earth Guardians* This year's event will feature the reveal of two Earth Guardians - large scale puppets that represent our environment. (Designed & constructed by local artists Teafly and Christian Brown.)
