Improving Connections between east and west Bend

Barriers like Third Street, the railroad, and the Parkway can be hazardous for families, bicyclists, and pedestrians. LandWatch's BCD Initiative aims to improve our east-west connections by opening the flow between neighborhoods with safe pedestrian and bicycle friendly streets.

Old Franklin vs. New Franklin.jpg

This year at Bend Open Streets, we will host a sweet community parkletand talk to people about what they think could improve one of these connections - the Franklin underpass. We need help with setting up, hosting, and breaking down. Please consider volunteering for one or two hours! Email Becca at if you'd like to volunteer.
