WE ARE HIRING: Executive Director
Central Oregon LandWatch serves as our region's environmental watchdog, defending the land, water, and communities from unmanaged growth and inappropriate development.
As we mark our 40th anniversary, the organization is stepping into its next chapter with real momentum: a growing legislative presence, an evolving water law strategy, and an emerging role shaping how the state responds to data center development and energy siting.
LandWatch's culture is one of high trust and high autonomy, intentionally built over time. We're looking for an executive director who can:
✔️ Lead with steadiness under public pressure
✔️ Build deep, trust-based relationships
✔️ Secure strong philanthropic support and grow our community standing
✔️ Protect and strengthen a culture that's already working
✔️ Bring real fluency (or the ability to build it fast) in land use and water policy
✔️ Partner well with an engaged, collegial Board
Based in Bend, Oregon, with a salary range of $160,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance available, if needed.
