Event: Speak up for the Deschutes River!

Hosted by the Bend Youth Brigade Paddle Team, this event is for people - especially young people - who love to kayak, SUP, raft, or float on the river and want to do their part to help its recovery. 

Come watch a short video about the problems facing the Deschutes River followed by a discussion led by Lisa Seales, Ph.D and Central Oregon LandWatch. Kids 8+ are encouraged to come! 

When: Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Where: North Sisters Room, Seventh Mountain Resort

More about Lisa Seales: She is an educator, social scientist, writer, and editor with nearly 20 years of experience in environmental education. She currently teaches natural resource management classes at OSU-Cascades and COCC. She has a PhD and an MS in interdisciplinary ecology from the University of Florida, with a focus on water resource management as well as tourism and outdoor recreation. She has dedicated her career to helping find more sustainable ways to balance conservation and development; most recently her main focus has been on governance and policy.
