LandWatch Statement on Increasing Density Sensitively

A recent editorial in The Bulletin addressed a LandWatch letter to Bend2030 regarding the Collaborative Housing Workgroup. Our letter praised Bend2030’s goals of increasing the supply of middle market housing in Bend. We also suggested a few changes to the proposed policy tools so that they would not tip the balance that was struck to protect neighborhoods during the multi-year, city-wide Urban Growth Boundary planning process..
