Important decisions that will guide Bend's growth for the next 20 years are in the works and on the horizon.
Bend is one of the fastest growing and least affordable places in the state. To restore affordability and livability while tackling the challenges of rapid growth, a housing shortage, and the impacts of drought and climate change, smart planning will continue to be key to Central Oregon’s thriving future.
The City of Bend is beginning work that will guide our community’s growth now and for the next 20 to 50 years. Buckle up: this is going to be a marathon and a sprint. This three year process will be marked by key milestones along the way—take a look at this timeline:
